CLIMATE IN THE SOLOMON ISLANDS

The Solomon Islands have a tropical climate and Honiara weather is generally warm and humid all year round.

The average temperature of the Honiara is around 27 degrees Celsius, with temperatures ranging from low 20s to early 30s depending on the season. Water temperature usually sits around 28 degrees Celsius.

Coral reefs and rainforests thrive in the warm climate, making the Solomon Islands the perfect location for an island getaway.

CURRENCY

The majority of places in the Solomon Islands use cash rather than credit cards, and the national currency is the Solomon Islander Dollar. Some larger resorts and tourist operations will accept credit cards.

Tipping is not part of the culture in the Solomon Islands.

WHAT TO BRING
